Losing a large chunk of their Southeast Iowa Super Conference North Division Champion team from 2020, new faces surrounded the Winfield-Mt. Union volleyball program this fall. With so much turnover, they had one of two options, to rebuild for future years or reload. The Wolves chose the latter.

Despite being very green at many positions around the court, the Wolves still put together a 22-11 campaign and placed second in the division with a 7-1 league mark. They finished a half game behind Wapello in the regular season standings, but got the Arrows when it counted in a five set thrilling regional quarterfinal victory. No team in the division had more blocks or serve aces with 169 and 215, respectively. Keely Malone paced the league by setting everything up with 526 assists while Keetyn Townsley had the most digs with 458. The junior also was first in successful serves with 329 and finished with a 94% efficiency. Bradie Buffington had the most blocks on the team with 46.

WMU qualified for the class 1A regional semifinal before bowing out to No. 1 Burlington Notre Dame.
