Mid-Prairie running back Tyler Helmuth spent a lot of time in the end zone during the 2021 season. Helmuth made 16 house calls during the season, tied for ninth most in a single year in Mid-Prairie history with Kevin Kos’ 1975 and Jordan Montgomery’s 2004 seasons. His 96 total points scored were ninth most in a season. Helmuth finished 2021 with 771 yards and 16 scores on 106 carries. His career numbers included 126 carries for 975 yards and 18 touchdowns. The Golden Hawks ended the season in the second round of the class 2A playoffs.
