A Washington man was recently given a suspended prison sentence for a felony drug charge.
Court records show that through a plea agreement, 41-year-old Daymun Roger Schadt is convicted of possession with intent to deliver up to five grams of methamphetamine, a class C felony, while charges of possession of a controlled substance third or subsequent offense, a class D felony, and violation of a no contact order, and possession of drug paraphernalia, both simple misdemeanors, were dismissed. A 10-year-prison sentence was suspended for Schadt to be placed on five years probation. A $1,370 fine with a 15% surcharge was also suspended, though he was ordered to pay Category B restitution. He was also found guilty of driving while barred, an aggravated misdemeanor, assault, a simple misdemeanor, and contempt of court, was ordered to spend seven days in the Washington County Jail for each of the convictions, to be served consecutively.
Schadt was arrested on a traffic stop this July at the Hometown Inn & Suites in Washington for three local warrants. The charges stemmed from August 2020 incidents.
