Yoda is available for adoption at PAWS & More.
PAWS & More Animal Shelter is lifting a barrier to adoption this Saturday in effort to find forever homes for the approximate 100 cats and kittens they’re housing, with some other surprises in store.
The shelter is waiving its $100 adoption fee from noon-4 p.m. at the shelter in Washington for cats and kittens, which includes spay or neuter, vaccination, deworming, flea and tick preventative, microchipping, and other amenities to help you make space in your home and life for a feline friend. Shelter Director Amber Talbot shares why they’re trying to clear the shelves, “We really wanted to get a head start on that due to the winter influx of cats that we have come in when the cold weather hits. We just get really, really flooded with maybe a kitty that’s a great situation all summer and now people are concerned about the winter and the weather and the care for that animal. And so we just always get kind of flooded this time of year and we need help moving kitties into homes kind of quicker than normal.”
Talbot adds those who come to the shelter Saturday can also spin their “wheel of cats” to win a special prize to take home with their cat. You can get a look at the cats and kittens currently available for adoption by visiting here.
