Two new members took their seats on the Mid-Prairie School Board at Monday’s regular meeting.
Newcomers Jed Seward and Jake Snider were elected in the November 2nd city and school board election. After Seward and Snider took the oath of office, the board then elected and voted for a new president and vice president. Jeremy Pickard and Marianne Schlabach were unanimously elected for president and vice president, respectively. The board then discussed who would be the representatives for the Washington and Johnson County Conference Boards for the 2021-2022 school year. Gabby Frederick was selected as the Johnson County representative with Snider selected for Washington County. Further discussion was held to appoint representatives for the Interest Based Bargaining School Board. Seward and Denise Chittick volunteered to serve on the board for the upcoming year.
