A Brighton man and a Kalona woman were arrested on several charges Tuesday.
The Washington County Communications Center reports that sheriff’s deputies were at a residence in Ainsworth with suspects wanted on local warrants. Twenty-eight year-old Shad Daniel Null was arrested for assault causing bodily injury, two counts of a controlled substance violation, and for failure to appear on an original charge of possession of a controlled substance, second offense. Total bond was set at $103,000 for Null. Thirty-six year-old April Laurene Hagist was arrested for pretrial release revoked on original charges of possession of contraband in a correctional institution, operating while under the influence second offense, possession of methamphetamine first offense, and unlawful possession of a prescription drug. She was also wanted for revoked pretrial for two counts of a controlled substance violation, violation of probation, and for a controlled substance violation. Total bond was set at $61,000 for Hagist. Charges are pending on both suspects for interference with official acts. KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
