A Fairfield man was arrested on a Washington County warrant Thursday.
Court documents show that on August 8th, a Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy was advised of a maroon Ford pickup truck on its side at 335th Street and Germanville Road near Brighton. Upon arrival, no one was present with the vehicle but the deputy was advised that the owner of the vehicle was at a residence approximately one mile away on Highway 78. Law enforcement found 55-year-old Todd Christopher Brown in the driveway of the residence with blood on his face and head. Brown said he left the scene because he didn’t have a driver’s license and that he was seeking help to stop the bleeding. Following a pat down, it was discovered that Brown was in possession of a methamphetamine pipe and small baggies of meth and marijuana.
Brown was transported back to the accident scene where he received medical attention and citations for leaving the scene of an accident, driving under suspension and failure to maintain control. On November 23rd, the Division of Criminal Investigation lab confirmed the substances were meth and marijuana. Brown is facing charges of possession of a controlled substance third or subsequent offense, a class D felony, hemp inhalation, a serious misdemeanor, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor. Bond has been set at $6,300 cash only. KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
