The Riverside City Council continued to add to their Capital Project Fund following their regular meeting on December 6th.
In accordance with the 2021-22 fiscal year budget, the council approved a $150,000 transfer from the Local Option Sales Tax fund, a $700,435 transfer from the Casino Revenue fund, and a $55,000 general fund transfer to the Capital Project Fund. The money in the Capital Project Fund will serve as an avenue to help finance different projects in Riverside such as the 3rd Street and community center projects. Other approved transfers include $100,000 from the LOST fund to the general fund and from the Casino Revenue to the community center fund. The total amount of transferred funds came out to $1,105,435. The council also approved the transfer of $72,750 from the fire protection general fund to the fire department fund.
