KCII is airing a special live broadcast today as part of the 19th annual Caring Christmas Food Drive to help area food pantries in need.

The second installment of the Day of Giving Radiothon will be on air from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., encouraging the public to donate by calling into KCII, clicking on the Big Red Button at kciiradio.com, or dropping off a monetary or food donation at the Big Red Radio at Washington Hy-Vee. The radiothon will feature in-studio interviews with participating businesses in the drive, organizers of the pantries KCII supports, and other local organizations and residents helping to battle food insecurity.
