The math was easy for the WACO Warrior wrestling team Thursday, three duals, and three wins. The Warriors beat Louisa-Muscatine, Pekin and Van Buren in a Southeast Iowa Superconference quadrangular.
WACO got by perennial power Louisa-Muscatine 66-18. The Warriors had wins in contested matches from Gage Samo at 106lbs by fall, Junior Quiroz at 132lbs by fall, Larz Smith at 138lbs by fall, Louden Huisenga at 145lbs by fall, and Jonah Clark at 220lbs by fall.
Against Pekin it was a 64-18 Warrior victory. WACO got wins in contested matches from Larz Smith at 138lbs by fall, Louden Huisenga at 152lbs by 18-4 major decision and Kris Boone at 170lbs by fall.
The win was by a 66-18 count over Van Buren. WACO winners in contested matches included Junior Quiroz at 132lbs by 7-5 decision, Larz Smith at 138lbs by fall, Louden Huisenga at 145lbs by 8-2 decision, Braden Spain at 152lbs by fall, Jonah Clark at 220lbs by fall and Tim Willits at 285lbs by fall.
With the sweep, WACO runs their dual record to 8-2. The Warriors will be back on the mat Saturday at Iowa City Regina.
