Our check of the mats at the college level for Mid-Prairie and Hillcrest Academy athletes takes us to Dubuque where former Golden Hawk standout Duncan McCain is in his senior season at Loras College.

In his time with the Duhawks, He has a 22-15 overall record including five pins. He has wrestled at 125 and 133lbs in the Duhawk lineup. He is part of a Loras team that is ranked No. 1 in the country in the latest Division III NCAA poll from the National Wrestling Coaches Association.

During his time at Mid-Prairie, McCain won a school record 163 matches. He also set the single season takedown record at 161 and the career takedown record of 385. He was a two-time state qualifier, finishing on the podium in Des Moines in 2015.
