Mid-Prairie and Highland students are gearing up for a trip to Montezuma High School for the District Large Group Speech Contest.
Mid-Prairie will be sending 10 groups to perform with Highland sending five groups. Mid-Prairie students will be performing a one-act play titled “And the Giants Fell,” “Small World” for readers theatre, musical theatre performances of “Something Rotten” and “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change,” along with three ensemble acts and three improv groups. Highland also has three improv groups with two radio broadcasting groups performing. Events begin at 8 a.m. Saturday and last until 3 p.m., with a $3 suggested donation for spectators.
