Twenty-seven high school students from across the KCII-listening area took to the mat at the fourth annual Iowa High School Girls Wrestling Championships this past weekend.

Four of those athletes made it to the podium, with Sigourney-Keota’s Reanah Utterback claiming a State Championship at 110 lbs. Mid-Prairie’s Bronwyn Brenneman earned fifth place at 130lbs, and fellow Golden Hawk Gabi Robertson made it to seventh place at 100lbs. WACO Warrior Bralyyn Wagler received eighth place at 220lbs. Student athletes from Washington and Highland schools also competed at the championships which took place at the Xtream Arena in Coralville. Listen to KCII Sports for more coverage.
