A Burlington man was recently sentenced to over 23 years in prison for his role in a drug conspiracy investigated by several southeast Iowa law enforcement agencies.

The last convicted of eight defendants charged in November 2019, 36-year-old Tristan Davis was sentenced to 280 months in federal prison with no parole. Davis was found guilty after a jury trial, along with Burlington residents Kendrick Page and Breon Armstrong in July of 2021 of conspiracy to distribute controlled substances which included ice methamphetamine and crack cocaine. At the sentencing, Davis was found to have possessed a firearm related to his drug trafficking activities along with maintaining a house in Burlington to store, manufacture and distribute controlled substances. United States District Court Chief Judge John A. Jarvey described the operation as “a scourge upon Burlington and eastern Iowa.” Page was sentenced to 28 years and 4 months in prison while Armstrong was sentenced to 17 1⁄2 years.

Agencies involved in the investigation included the Washington, Henry, and Louisa county sheriff’s offices and the Mount Pleasant Police Department. The case was prosecuted by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Iowa.
