Ahead of Iowa’s June 7th primary election and the general election this coming November, the Democratic and Republican parties will be hosting midterm caucuses this Monday.
The Washington County Democrats are hosting one in-person location at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Washington. Washington County Republicans will have six caucus sites. For the southern half of the county, the Ainsworth and Crawfordsville voting precincts will meet at the American Legion Building in Crawfordsville, Brighton precinct will meet at the Church of God in Brighton, and the City of Washington’s four wards will meet in the second floor courtroom at the Washington County Courthouse. For the northern half of the county, the Kalona and Richmond precincts will meet at Mid-Prairie East Elementary in Kalona, Riverside precinct will meet at Riverside City Hall, and the Wellman precinct will meet at Parkside Activities Center. The caucus is scheduled for 7-9 p.m. for both parties.
