IAwrestle.com has released their final set of rankings for class 1A and 2A before the postseason gets underway with sectionals Saturday.

In class 2A, Aaron Boone represents the Washington Demons at No. 3 at 113lbs. The freshman is 43-1 on the season, coming off of a runner-up finish at the Southern Iowa Classic last weekend.

The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks have a pair of ranked wrestlers with senior Cael Garvey No. 3 at 195lbs. He sports a 34-2 record this season following his River Valley Conference title Saturday at Monticello. Fellow Golden Hawk senior Gannon Callahan is No. 12 at 285lbs. He placed third at the RVC championships last weekend, running his overall record to 19-2.

The Columbus/Winfield-Mt. Union Wildcats have Lane Scorpil ranked No. 3 at 120lbs. The Superconference champion has a perfect 38-0 record.

In class 1A, Sigourney-Keota has five representatives in the poll. At 106lbs Reanah Utterback, the girls state champion and boys South Iowa Cedar League champion is ranked No. 6 with a 34-2 record. Jack Clarahan checks in at No. 9 at 170lbs. The junior is 42-3 this season after winning a SICL title last Saturday. Aiden Schuster is No. 8 at 182lbs. The senior has a mark of 32-5 this year and was runner-up at the SICL Championships last weekend. Cade Striegle is in this week’s 195lb rankings at No. 7. The senior sports a 29-2 record and is a conference champion. Conner Reed is also ranked for the Savages at No. 11 in the 220lb division. The senior is 37-4 this year after his run to the top of the podium at the SICL Championships last Saturday.

A pair of WACO Warriors appear in this week’s poll. Louden Huisenga is No. 9 at 145lbs. The Warrior freshman has a 36-5 record after a runner-up finish at last week’s Superconference Championship meet. Warrior senior Jonah Clark is No. 5 at 220lbs. Clark’s mark is 41-1 this year after his Superconference title Saturday.

All wrestling teams will be in action at sectionals Saturday. Washington travels to Solon, Columbus/Winfield-Mt. Union and Mid-Prairie will be in Benton, Highland, Lone Tree, and WACO all travel to English Valleys and the Sigourney Savages are hosting their own sectional meet.
