It was another week and another college signing at Highland High School on Friday with Grace Batcheller announcing where she will take her softball talents next year.
The senior pitcher signed her letter of intent to play for Briar Cliff University in Sioux City. The Chargers are a NAIA four-year program that compete in the Great Plains Athletic Conference. Batcheller has been a part of the Huskie varsity pitching staff since her eighth grade year and last summer she was named a first team all SEISC selection. She compiled a 16-5 record as a junior with a 2.27 ERA in 114 innings of work and registered a .313 BA offensively.
Batcheller plans to major in nursing next fall.
