An Ainsworth man was arrested on a warrant for escape from a residential facility Monday.
The Washington County Communications Center states at 7:30 p.m. Washington County Sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of people fighting outside a trailer in the 200 block of A Avenue in Kalona. Twenty-six year-old William Braxton McCarroll was then arrested on a warrant from the Iowa Department of Corrections for escape from the Ottumwa Residential Facility for original charges of possession with intent to deliver less than five grams of methamphetamine, eluding, and first-degree theft. The Washington County Jail was also informed Tuesday of a warrant from the Ottumwa Police Department for escape from custody. Extradition arrangements will be made.
