Bicyclists can now enjoy a new place to stop, enjoy the view and make necessary fixes to their bikes on the Kewash Nature Trail.

A new fix-it station and bike rack has been installed on the east side of the Crooked Creek Bridge on the 14-mile trail. Washington County Conservation Executive Director Zach Rozmus says that the station includes an assortment of tools along with an air pump. He shares his excitement for the new addition to the trail, “I encourage everyone to get out there and take a look at them because they’re a really great, aesthetically pleasing product and they’re going to be used too. That’s a great location. I just think about every single time when I come out on the bridge out there on the Kewash Trail. Every single person leans their bike up against the bridge rail and then goes and stands on the bridge and enjoys the scenic portion of that. Now they’re gonna have a bike rack there at that location where they can more easily place their bike and go and enjoy the bridge.”

The new amenities are installed where the pavement ends for the trail, which was completed in late October 2021. Rozmus says they just received the final portion of a new memorial bench that will be installed next to the bike rack and fix-it station in the next week.
