The WACO Warrior boys basketball team played a style of defense that had their opponents looking over their shoulder’s all season. WACO blocked 136 total shots this season, second most in class 1A and fourth in the state regardless of class. Their 5.4 blocked shots per game average was also second in 1A and fourth overall in the state. Junior big man Cody Graber led the way for WACO, swatting 76 shots, second most in class 1A. his three block per game average was fifth in 1A. Sophomores Colton Leichty and Hunter Hughes also averaged a blocked shot per contest. The Warriors ended their season in the substate finals with a 20-5 overall record.
