Pretrial release was revoked for a Keota man arrested Tuesday.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office executed an arrest warrant for 40-year-old Joshua Jeffrey Pappas. He faces two counts of serious injury by vehicle, a class D felony, and driving while license is denied or revoked, a serious misdemeanor, for a December 6, 2021 two-vehicle wreck at the intersection of Highway 1 and County Road G26. Court documents show Pappas violated a condition of his pretrial release when the Keota Police Department reported to the Department of Correctional Services that he barricaded himself in a basement on February 28th and was taken by ambulance due to the consumption of alcohol and prescription medications. Bond was set at $25,000 cash only. KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
