When the Southeast Iowa Super Conference released the all conference boys’ basketball teams, four Highland players found themselves on the list for their work on the hardwood this winter.
Chase Schultz capped off his career with a first team selection in the north division. The 6’3’’ center finished fourth in the league with 97 defensive rebounds. The senior tallied 6.3 boards a night to go along with 12.2 points and shot 31% from long range. Trevor McFarland was named to the second team. The senior recorded 8.5 points and 3.5 rebounds a game while leading the team with 38 assists and 38 steals. Connor Grinstead and Kaige Vonnahme received honorable mention recognition. Grinstead managed 6.3 points and 4.5 rebounds while Vonnahme shot 34% from deep and collected four points an outing.
Highland closed the year 4-18 and eighth in the north with a 3-13 conference mark.
