Five members of the Mid-Prairie High School Future Farmers of America Chapter will receive the Iowa Degree at the upcoming state convention. Golden Hawks Marissa Cline, Zane Fisher, Brittany Kinsinger, Rebekah Meader and Annie Morrison will all receive the Iowa Degree. Those who receive the degree are selected for nomination by the State Committee based on applications submitted by the candidate. Those vying for the award must also have received the Chapter FFA Degree and have been an active member in their chapter for at least two years with at least 360 hours of school instruction in agriculture education above the ninth grade level along with community service, leadership and academic requirements. The students will receive the honor at the 94th Iowa FFA State Leadership Conference in Ames beginning on April 10th. Kinsinger and Meader also received 2nd place for their reporter scrapbooks at the district convention advancing to state, and Cline was elected as the Southeast District Secretary.
