A pair of businesses within the KCII listening area were approved for innovation funding by the Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA).

Harvest Increase Agriculture out of Riverside does their work in chemical and physical properties and application rates of fertilizer. They have developed an additive known as SUPRGrow to increase corn yields. The company was awarded a $25,000 Proof of Commercial Relevance loan for product refinement.

ChopLocal of Wayland has developed a platform for local suppliers to create a digital storefront, manage orders and organize information to be competitive with other larger companies in the online market place. Their services benefit local butcher shops, meat processors and farmers by offering alternative online supply chain access.

Eight total businesses in the state received financial awards including Berdex in Ames, Camso in Peosta, Link Snacks in Underwood, FBB Biomed in Coralville, Dhakai in Des Moines, Bristola in Waukee.
