There’s a new face on the Mid-Prairie girls basketball scoring Mount Rushmore. After a tremendous four-year career for the Hawks, Maddie Nonnenmann put her name among the best in program history. She finished with 1,066 points during her time for the black and gold, fourth in school history. Her first career points came November 28th, 2018 in her first game as a freshman when she scored 16 in a 69-49 win against Durant. Her final points came in the regional finals of the 2022 tournament when she scored 13 in a loss to Davenport Assumption 44-32, February 19th, 2022. She hit the 1,000 point milestone, January 31st, 2022, in a 47-27 win this year over the rival Washington Demons where she scored 15.

She shot 44% from the floor as a Golden Hawk with a 30% mark from three point range during her career. She played in 88 games for Mid-Prairie, starting 65 of them. She averaged 12 points per game for her entire four year career. Nonnenmann was a class 3A All-State selection in 2022.

The other players that join her on Mid-Prairie’s Mount Rushmore include 2018 graduate Addie Rath in third with 1,096 points, 2007 graduate Emily Hershberger Case in second with 1,156 points and the program’s all-time leading scorer, and Nonnenmann’s aunt, Jessica Larsen, a 1997 graduate, with 1,190 points.
