Friday, Mahaska County authorities alerted Washington County of a subject they had in custody on a Washington County warrant. Parker Jay Davis, 24 of New Sharon had a warrant for pretrial violation on a charge of second degree sexual abuse. The charge stems from an incident earlier this month where Davis left a voice mail with a woman, that had a no contact order against him, telling her he had been released from jail. Davis had been serving time for a conviction of false imprisonment from January of 2022.

He is being held on $10,000 cash only bond and a hold was placed with Mahaska County
