Halfway through the college baseball season and one Washington alum is making his presence known on the diamond for Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri.

Former Southeast Conference player of the year and 2020 Demon graduate Luke Turner has turned into one of the top hitters for the Bulldogs as a sophomore. Through 24 games the second and third baseman has racked up a .309 batting average with 17 hits including five doubles, 14 runs scored, eight RBI, and a .426 on base percentage. He leads the team with seven stolen bases on nine attempts and has a .913 fielding percentage defensively. Turner was a four year starter at Washington with three all-conference selections and two all-district honors.

Truman State is a NCAA Division II program apart of the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Bulldogs already have more wins than last year with a 9-15 record including five victories in their last six games.
