Three area girls’ track teams braved the cold conditions on Tuesday traveling to West Burlington for the Falcon Relays. 

Washington finished fourth out of six in the large class division with 92 points while Mount Pleasant won with 154. The Demons managed one event champion in the 4x800m relay with a time of 11:36 and this crew consisted of Isabella Lujan, Abigail Kleese, Lauren Horak, and Grace Voss. Rachel Sands was second in the long jump (13’9.5’’) and third in the 100m (14.06) while Quincy Griffis was second in the 1500m (5:46) and 3000m (12:14). 

WACO and Winfield-Mt. Union competed in the small class division with the Warriors finishing fourth out of six with 64 points and the Wolves’ 54 points claimed fifth. Pekin won it all with 164. WACO’s Zoey Dennler bested everyone in the 400m hurdles clocking in at 1:16 and McKenzie Vradenburg was third in the 100m (14.50). WMU’s Jobey Malone was second in the shot put (35’5.5’’) and Keetyn Townsley was runner-up in the 100m hurdles (18.47).
