It was all Mid-Prairie on Thursday in Wellman as the Golden Hawk girls soccer team rolled through visiting Columbus 9-1 in a non-conference match. Esther Hughes had five goals, Kaitlin Martin added three and Evelyn Gerber found the back of the net once for the Hawks as they moved to 1-1 on the year. Gerber and Lydia Beachy each had an assist. In goal, Ainsley Lueck stopped seven of eight shots sent her way. Freshman Samarah Garza had the Wildcat goal. Mid-Prairie is 1-1 on the year as they get ready for Monticello Friday. Columbus is now 0-4 and travels to Tipton Monday.
