A ribbon cutting was held this week to welcome two new “residents” of The Village boutique store in Washington.

On Tuesday, the Washington Chamber of Commerce presented certificates and helped Leslie Allender of Purposefully You and Heather Fedler of Custom Impressions cut the ribbon on their new sections of the store located on the corner of West Main Street and South Marion Avenue. Purposefully You is a division of RePurpose It, the furniture and chalk paint store also owned by Allender. The shop moved into the space in March formerly known as Creations by Char, and it offers women’s clothing, jewelry, handbags, and other items. Custom Impressions moved into The Village last fall, offering a variety of Washington Demon, WACO Warrior, and Highland Husky products. Allender mentioned that opening the boutique has been a long-held dream of hers, and Fedler shared her excitement of having a downtown presence for Custom Impressions whose headquarters are located on West 5th Street.
