The Mid-Prairie boys and girls golf teams took on the Tipton Tigers Monday in River Valley Conference action. The Golden Hawk girls brought a win back from Tipton by a 218-269 score. Mid-Prairie was led by meet medalist Alexa Huber with a 52, Gabi Robertson was medalist runner-up with a 53. Other Golden Hawk scores included Addison English 55, Madelyn Bender and Madi Davidson with 58s and Elliot Debler 59. All six Golden Hawk players shot better than Tipton’s low score of 60.

The Mid-Prairie boys were beaten in Kalona by a 163-218 score. Tristan Sorgenfrey of Tipton took medalist honors with a 37, Bob Ryan was medalist runner-up with a 39. Top Mid-Prairie score was Warren Scarff’s 47. Ian Schmidt shot 52, Ben Mattes 55 and Carson Pence 64.

The Golden Hawk girls are off until Monday when they meet West Branch and Wilton at Wahkonsa for a River Valley triangular. The Mid-Prairie boys are right back on the course Tuesday when they host nine teams in the Golden Hawk Invitational in Kalona.
