Just after 3a.m. Tuesday, a Louisa County Sheriff’s Deputy performed a traffic stop on Highway 61 near Spruce Avenue for a vehicle with no license plates. Through investigation during the stop, the officer documented the smell of narcotics and the driver, 37-year-old Leann Broderson of Davenport was arrested on multiple drug charges.

Broderson concealed a container with more than five grams of methamphetamine inside of her clothes, giving her possession of more than six grams. When she was received at the Louisa County Jail, the hidden substance was seized during a search. Broderson is facing charges of Felony possession of methamphetamine over five grams with intent to distribute a Class B Felony, possession of methamphetamine inside of a correctional facility, a Class D Felony and possession of controlled substance THC wax, prescription medication and possession of drug paraphernalia.

She remains in custody at the Louisa County Jail on a $10,000 cash only bond.
