Tuesday the annual Timm Lamb Pen City Relays took place in Fort Madison with the Washington and Winfield-Mt. Union girls participating.

The Demons placed fourth in the Class A team race with their total of 88 points. Mount Pleasant won the title with 165 points. The Demons had two championship events on the night with Quincy Griffis taking the 1500 in 5:37.40 and the distance medley team of Nevaeh Brown, Ada Kendall, Eden Levetzow and Abigail Kleese winning gold in 4:40. Other top finishes for the Demons included second for Griffis in the 3000, second for Kleese in the 800, second for the 4×400 team of Kleese, Levetzow, Rachel Sands, and Kendal Hinrichsen and runner-up for the 4×800 team of Grace Voss, Hinrichsen, Isabella Lujan, and Lauren Horak.

The Winfield-Mt. Union girls were fourth in the Class B team race with 81 points, Danville won the team title with 143 points. The Wolves had three event championships with Jobey Malone winning the shot put on a throw of 35’10”, Keetyn Townsley in the 100 hurdles in 17.22 seconds, and the sprint medley team of Annabelle Loveless, Mariana Hagmeier, Aurey Meeker and Tessa Huston with their time of 2:05.65. Other top finishes for the Wolves included Bradie Buffington second in the shot, Josie Nelson third in the 400m hurdles and the 4×400 team of Meeker, Nelson, Hagmeier and Huston third.
