Washington County Hospital and Clinics will be starting a project to update their utility plant next week.
Work will begin Monday, April 18th at the hospital to upgrade and relocate the utility plant including the construction of new space to improve the mechanical systems and operational controls of the facility. Marketing Director Amy Vetter says this large-scale construction project will ensure that WCHC continues to provide a state-of-the-art facility for patients and the community. The project is anticipated to be completed in June of 2023. During the duration of the project an increase of traffic may be noticed on 6th Street to accommodate construction crews and delivery of materials and equipment. Crews will work from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday to minimize the impact of this project to their neighbors. There will be little to no impact to patients and visitors as they arrive at the facility, and all clinic and hospital parking lots and entrances will remain available throughout the project.
