A West Branch man charged last year for a class D felony drug offense in Washington County was arrested Wednesday for failing to appear at his pretrial conference.
The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office reported being out with 30-year-old Joshua Charles Hultine, who failed to appear at a March 25th pretrial conference for possession of a controlled substance third or subsequent offense, a class D felony. Bond was set at $25,000 cash or surety and a detainer was placed with the Johnson County Jail. He was originally arrested last August for an incident that allegedly occurred on March 21, 2021. A Washington County Sheriff’s K9 unit was requested to assist with a traffic stop in the parking lot of 3184 Highway 22 in Riverside. A search of the vehicle found a blue pouch containing drug packaging materials and a scale containing a white powder substance that tested positive as methamphetamine. KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
