The Hillcrest Academy Ravens protected their homefield Thursday against visiting Sigourney-Keota with a 5-1 win over the Cobras on the pitch at Kalona. Hillcrest found themselves on top 2-1 at the break and finished scoring three unanswered goals after half to put the game away. Five different Ravens scored with Jesse Blossom, Grant Bender, Micah Gerber, Diego Ramos and Jorge Canchola all finding the back of the net. Hillcrest possessed the ball strongly, accounting for 20 shots, nine of those on goal in the win. Aiden Krabill had three saves in the victory. Hillcrest is now 2-2 on the year as the Cobras fall to 1-4.
