The Mid-Prairie girls golf team topped a pair of River Valley Conference rivals Monday at Wahkonsa in Wilton. Mid-Prairie shot a season best 210, to beat the West Branch 217 and Wilton’s 222. The Bears’ Alex Poppen was medalist with a 48. Golden Hawk Gabi Robertson fired a 50 to earn medalist runner-up honors, edging out Wilton’s Joann Martin on a cardback. Following Robertson was Madi Davidson at 52, Madelyn Bender and Alexa Huber 54, Addison English 59 and Elliott Debler 62. Mid-Prairie is off until their 18-hole Invitational Thursday at the Kalona Golf Course.
