Three area girls teams traveled to the Pantherette Relays Tuesday night at the Mapleleaf Athletic Complex in Mount Pleasant. The Washington Demons posted the highest point total, putting up 49 in the Class A team standings, to finish sixth. Williamsburg won the meet with 130 points. The Demons crowned one champ on the night with Quincy Griffis winning the 3000 in 11:44.58. Other top finishes for Washington included Abigail Kleese runner-up in the 800, runner-up for the 4×800 team of Kleese, Kendall Hinrichsen, Lauren Horak and Grace Voss and third for Horak in the 1500.

Winfield-Mt. Union put up 45 points in the Class B standings to finish sixth. Pekin won the meet with 129 points. Two athletes won events for the Wolves with Keetyn Townsley taking the 100 hurdles in 17.39 seconds and Jobey Malone the shot put on a throw of 36’5.5″. Other top finishes for the Wolves included a runner-up place finish for Annabelle Loveless in the 100 and second for the shuttle hurdle team of Keetyn Townsley, Kayreanna Sharar, Mariana Hagmeier and Morgan Grelk.

WACO scored 41 team points. Top finishes for the Warriors included second for Ellah Kissell in the high jump, third for Zoey Dennler in the 100 hurdles, third for the 4×100 team of Halle Shelman, Kissell, Amy Morgan and McKenzie Vradenbug and third for the shuttle hurdle team of Maggie and Ally Rinner, Katie Leichty and Dennler.
