The Washington County Board of Health approved changing their regular meeting date during their recent meeting.

Board Vice Chair Jack Seward Jr. mentioned during the April 21st meeting that he had been appointed and confirmed to the state Mental Health and Disability Services Commission which meets on the third Thursday of the month in Des Moines. As that was the same day the Board of Health meets he asked whether they could change their meeting to a different Thursday of the month. Fiscal Administrator Peggy Wood suggested the fourth Thursday in order for the board to have financial information needed. The rest of the board agreed to the change, with the next regular meeting scheduled for noon on May 26th at the Washington Public Library. The board also voted to keep Seward and Cathy Buffington as this year’s vice chair and chair, respectively.
