Welcome To Riverside

A bid has been accepted for major renovation work on infrastructure in the city of Riverside. The city partnered with Nick Bettis of Axiom Consultants to plan and design a construction project for Third Street that included replacement of water and sewer mains, installation of storm drainage, sidewalk replacements, installation of curb and gutter and street resurfacing. The initial project estimate checked in at about $2.997 million. Three bids were received for the project with Streb Construction of Iowa City at $3.3 million, Dave Schmidt Construction of Cedar Rapids at $3.34 million and All-American Concrete of West Liberty at $3.47 million.

In regular session in April, the council awarded the project to Streb Construction.
