The spring edition of the Washington Chamber of Commerce’s annual craft fair returns for its second year this Mother’s Day weekend with a bouquet of offerings for kids and adults to enjoy.

The public can shop from around 80 craft, food, and beverage vendors downtown, and the kids can make a Mother’s Day craft from 9-11 a.m. at Repurpose It located off the square at 107 West 2nd Street. There will also be a fashion show at noon on the Central Park bandstand where local boutiques will showcase this year’s spring fashions. Chamber Event Coordinator Alisha Davis shares how she feels to host an event that brings in visitors from beyond Washington County, “It’s funny because I feel really humbled by all the craft fair vendors that will say, ‘This is my favorite craft fair, this is the best planned craft fair,’ and I don’t know why. I think it’s just because we have that small town hospitality factor compared to some of the bigger cities, and it’s pretty cool to hear that and just makes my job a lot better and a lot easier.”

There will also be $25 gift card giveaways from six of Washington’s downtown retailers drawn throughout the fashion show. The fair takes place from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., and information on how to be a vendor can be found in this story at kciiradio.com.
