Tyson Foods recently announced a partnership with the social media company Guild to provide new educational opportunities. Tyson will be making a four-year, $60 million investment that will be used to cover 100% of tuition, and books and fees for team members who elect to take courses through their Upward Academy Program.
Upward Academy was established in 2016 and has provided ESL, GED, citizenship, financial and digital literacy classes to frontline employees at 46 different Tyson locations. It also offers access to 175 programs from over 35 of the nation’s top universities and learning providers. Beginning this summer, all U.S. team members will have the ability to attain Master’s, undergraduate, and associate degrees, career certificates and literacy and technology fundamentals.
