The offense was locked and loaded last night for the Washington boys’ soccer team when they traveled to Keokuk and downed the Chiefs for the second time this year by a 10-0 score.
Fabian DeJesus got the fireworks started in the first half with a goal on a setup by Manny Raymundo. David Sevilla had a monumental sequence when he came in off the bench and the sophomore connected on three straight goals in a two minute span. It was 4-0 at intermission when the floodgates opened on a pair of tallies from Fredy Aguilar and Joshua Perez with the finishing touches coming from Randy Huertero and Emre Akgul. Raymundo was the ultimate distributor with four assists and Will Gilchrist-Brock was perfect in goal.
Washington improves to 10-2 overall, their most wins in the varsity bound era (since 2011). Their 7-2 conference mark puts them second in the league with a trip to Burlington left on Monday.
