It was the final high school soccer game of the spring at the Washington Wellness Park on Monday when the Demon boys welcomed Hillcrest Academy for the regular season finale and the hosts squeaked out a 1-0 win. 

The defensive struggle saw its only score of the game come in the 58th minute when Brayan Arreola found the back of the net thanks to an assists from Erick Ortez Jr. Will Gilchrist-Brock did not allow anything at the other end and picked up five saves to secure the victory. Raven goalie Aiden Krabill kept his team around collecting 15 saves on the evening. 

The Demons close the regular season 11-4 and start up their playoff run Thursday against Keokuk (2-12) in Fort Madison. The Ravens are 6-8 and their postseason starts the same day at Mid-Prairie (10-2).
