Two people were injured in a vehicle wreck south of Coppock Saturday evening.
Iowa State Patrol states at about 7:47 p.m. 46-year-old Donald Carl Simmering of Ainsworth was driving a 2006 Chevy Trailblazer southbound on Ash Avenue approaching the intersection with 120th Street in rural Henry County when the Trailblazer failed to negotiate the curve and drove into the south ditch. Simmering and a 47-year-old passenger were both transported by Henry County EMS to Henry County Health Center with minor injuries. Neither were wearing their seatbelt at the time of the crash. Henry County Sheriff’s Office and Wayland Fire and Rescue assisted at the scene.
