This will be the final weekend that the Washington Community Center will be hosting the Washington Community theaters performance of Mary Poppins.
The play features actors of all ages and skill levels and two of the younger actors are Greta Piette and Quintyn Garibay, who play Jane and Michael Banks.
Piette tells KCII radio that the process of working with more experienced performers has helped her throughout the process. “It’s really helpful to watch the adults act and try to mimic the way they speak and the way they move. It’s really helped me act better by watching the more experienced actors.”
Garibay talked about how important it was to have an experienced director to help guide him through his first performance. “Our directors help us too, because when I first got into theater it was only my other acting buddies that gave me advice.”
The remaining show dates and times are June 24th and 25th at 7:30pm with the Sunday matinee set for June 26th at 2:30pm.
