The City of Wayland is celebrating Independence Day in Grand Tradition.
In addition to the Lions Club breakfast at the Community Center starting at 6:30 a.m., parade line-up starts at 9:30 a.m. with the parade starting at 10:30 a.m. rain or shine.
City of Wayland 4th of July committee member Beverly Conrad adds where you can find lunch at the WACO Jr. & Sr. High School, “The WACO Basketball teams are putting on a feast with a sandwich and baked beans, cole slaw, chips, dessert and a beverage and it’s a free-will donation and you can dine-in or carry out.”
The Wayland Volunteer Fire Department will be conducting a fireworks display at dusk from Roth Field at WACO Jr. & Sr. High School.
