Washington’s Art Domestique will be hosting an art gallery until July 30th, featuring the work of Iowa-based artist Gin Lammert who previously worked under the name Gin Sorak. Lammert specializes in portraits and has recently started to specialize in the En Plein Aire style.
En Plein Aire is a movement developed in the 1800s by French Impressionists, where artists painted in their environment instead of inside their usual studio environment. Art Domestique recently hosted an En Plein Aire event where multiple artists came to Washington for three days to illustrate their chosen landscapes, flowers, historical buildings, or subjects. Lammert took part in the event and took home the top honors for her quick paint submission.
The gallery’s name is Visions Manifested, and the gallery will be open to the public during Art Domestique’s business hours. For more information about the Visions Manifested gallery, contact Art Domestique in Washington.
