The Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested thirty-six-year-old Harley David Cook of Fairfield for failure to appear for probation revocation on Monday. Cook’s probation was revoked due to suspicions of domestic violence ranging from March 18th through July 14th.
The accusations included harassing the victim by showing up at her door, repeatedly sending messages to her, threatening the victim with violence, threatening to kill himself because of her, and following her home from work. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office filed two other temporary protective orders after the arrest.
With three cases pending for domestic violence accusations, Cook could face a Class D felony charge, which occurs after a third or subsequent offense of domestic abuse assault. Cook was transported to the Washington County Jail and was issued a $15,000 cash or surety bond which was posted on Monday. KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
