Tuesday, the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk baseball team recorded a win in the State quarterfinals 3-2 over River Valley Conference rival and No. 3 ranked Cascade in the three vs. six seed game of the Class 2A State Tournament at Merchant’s Park in Carroll. With the win, the Golden Hawks improve to 19-10 overall and move on to the State semifinals Thursday to meet No. 2 Estherville Lincoln Central, who was a 5-1 winner Tuesday over I-35 Truro.
